Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art is delighted to open the 2007 season with the exhibition
Andy Warhol Factory. Commemorating the twenty-year anniversary of the passing of the master of Pop Art, the present exhibition is especially meaningful for the collaboration between Leeum and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg, which boasts a vast holding of the artist¡¯s works and documentations.

This exhibition of Andy Warhol at Leeum encompasses a wide range of the artist¡¯s work, including his well-known works from the 1960s as well as lesser known early drawings, photographs, and posters from the 1950s, when he was working as a promising commercial designer in New York. With more than 200 works, this large retrospective demonstrates how Warhol¡¯s multifaceted work in painting, sculpture, photography, and film continues to serve as an important fount of inspiration for many artists to this day.
