Museum FAQ

15	What are the daily opening hours?
Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 6:00 pm (the outdoor deck is also closed at 6:00 pm). The museum is closed every Monday.
14	When is the museum closed?
The museum is closed every Monday, on January 1st, and during New Year's holidays, and the Chuseok holidays.
13	Are seniors, national merit recipients, and the disabled entitled to a discount?
Yes. A discount is given if patrons present an applicable ID card.
12	Do I have to make a reservation?
For individuals, no reservation is required. In the case of a group (20 people or more) tour, you should make a reservation in order to be eligible for a 30% discount (weekends and holidays exempted.).
11	Is there a group discount?
A group of 20 people or more can get a 30% discount if a reservation is made at least 3 days before visiting the museum.
10	Can you provide explanation on the works of art?
Leeum Highlight - Permanent exhibition At 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on weekdays / 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday (in English) > Time required: 1.5 hours Leeum Highlight - Temporary exhibition 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm on weekdays / 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday (in English) > Time required: 1 hour
9	Can I use a digital guide?
Yes, you can. A digital guide explains the works of art. You can borrow the device for 2,000 won. Children younger than middle school age are not allowed to use this device.
8	What ages are admitted to the museum?
There is no age limit.
7	Do any credit cards allow discounts?
A fifty percent discount is applicable for Samsung S Class card members.
6	Is there a Samsung employee discount?
For Samsung employees, admission is free. Up to three of the employees' family members can get a 40% discount with documentary evidence. (The family discount is offered only when family members are accompanied by the Samsung employee) / Note that friends or acquaintances of Samsung employees cannot receive this discount.
5	Is photo taking is permitted?
Photos are not allowed in the exhibition room. In the lobby, outside of the museum buildings, and in the café, you may take photos.
4	Is there a place to eat take-out food in the museum?
There is no place to eat take-out food in the museum. If you want soft drinks or snacks, please use the café at Leeum.
3	Can I borrow a stroller or wheelchair?
To help people accompanied by infants or the physically-challenged, to enjoy Leeum with ease, we lend strollers and wheelchairs at the lst floor front desk.
2	Is there parking space?
Since parking lot is not very large, it can be full early in the day. Please use public transportation if possible. The parking lot can be used until 6 pm. Using parking lot for any purposes other than a museum tour is prohibited.
1	How can I get to the museum by public transportation?
From Hangangjin Station (subway line 6) Exit 1, walk straight for 100 meters towards Itaewon. Make a right turn at the first alley, and then walk up the hill for about 5 minutes. You will then you see The Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art. Take bus no. 110 or 0014 and get off at subway line 6, Hangangjin Station. (Find Exit 1, and follow the above instructions.)
